What we will provide for your MINIMUM donation of £25.00
(discounted rates for MSRC members, membership is FREE)
We will provide a site for you based on a front page, a photo gallery thumbnail page and a photo gallery of your full size photos.
The donation will be valid for a period of 6 months and will include 2 updates at 2 monthly intervals.
You will have your own web address which personalises your site more than the ad covered “free” space provided by most service providers
After the initial 6 months are up then a further donation will secure the service for another 6 months
A 12 month subscription is available at £40, e-mail for details

What we need from you to do this
Your front page can have an image and text, you could use it to tell people something about you, news that’s happening to you, your family, a club you belong to, whatever you like just NOTHING commercial or for monetary gain
Your photo gallery can consist of up to 20 photos, I would suggest no individual image should be much more than 80-100k remember, the bigger they are the longer your page will take to load for those without broadband
You’ll find that you’ll have space on your thumbnail gallery to put a maximum of 4 links to things like friends sites. There will be a link to MSRC but that won’t count as one of your links

How to get started

There is a section for this project on the just giving section of the MSRC site, click here to go there and make your donation.
E-mail me the following: Text and image you want to have on your front page and the site style of your choice The images for your photo gallery (max 20 and 2mb in total) Any four links you would like on the site Last but not least the name you want for your site. Names will take the format www.you.msrcsites.co.uk The “you” part of the name will be entirely your choice, I suggest you keep it short though, makes it easier to send and remember. The personal names will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

You’ll notice throughout the site we talk about “minimum donation” This will be greatly appreciated and we thank you for your support. We also believe that by offering this service in return for a donation to MSRC we are not “begging” There are web site design companies that would charge £300.00 for the front page and a further £50.00 for every additional page, and that’s for a site that’s not really much fancier than this. While we do realise that few individuals would pay that kind of money, (I certainly wouldn’t!) we believe we are offering a product at an absolute bargain price. If you would like to and are able to then any amount over the minimum donation would be most welcome and fantastic. MSRC is a wonderful organisation supporting people suffering from a horrible illness

How to make an overworked and underpaid webmaster’s life that little bit easier
The writing you send for your site, please mail a word document as an attachment, if you can put your individual articles into text boxes as you want to see them on the site then great. If not please put one article per paragraph so I know when one stops and the next one starts
Your photographs, please send them to me at around 100k each, a maximum of 20 photos at a combined total of 2mb. If you get the individual photo to around 5 inches square, 6 by 4 and a size of 100k then you’ll be pretty much on the mark. If you want pixel dimensions and resolution then mail me.
Please include your first and surname in the subject line of any e-mail you send to us.
